Healthy Snack Ideas for School

Please remember, a snack is not a meal. Take a look at not only the portion size, but also the number of portions. Many children are coming to school with three and four snacks. A drink, preferably water, and one single portion snack is appropriate. Also take note of the fat, sugar and sodium content. Avoid donuts, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, corn or potato chips and high sugar drinks. They do not give our bodies what we need to grow and do our best in school.
