During the first week of school we
sit down and make a list of rules and procedures we should follow that will help
us create an environment where we feel safe, we learn, and we feel apart of.
I take the list the students come up
with and I combine them into 4 rules and procedures to follow. We review them everyday
for the first 15 days by repeating them and talking about what they mean. We also
came up with situations to better understand each one. Last week, each student said
that they understood the list and agreed to work hard to follow it. They signed
their name to the bottom as well.
These are the class rules and procedures
that your child is required to follow.
- Keep your hands, feet and objects
safe and to yourself.
- Treat others the way you want
to be treated.
- Do not talk when others are talking.
- Always give Best Effort!
I like to explain each one and show
how all the things they listed fit into at least one of the four rules/procedures.
