May 1st, 2008

It is difficult to believe that May has arrived and we are winding down yet another school year. There are still many decisions to be made regarding our district budget and how it will affect Centerville School. Please continue to be involved in this process.

We are completing Phase 2 of our Pascucci Technology Project. I am pleased to report that new computers have been installed in all of the classrooms. Smart Boards have been installed in the fifth grade classrooms and all classrooms have had ceiling projectors installed complete with overhead sound systems. Many thanks to Mr. Michael Pascucci for his continued support of Centerville School.

Congratulations to our fifth graders for their outstanding performances of Annie. Also, thank you to Mr. Wassell, Mrs. McDonough and Mrs. Athanas for their tireless efforts in the production of this performance. Also, a Centerville thank you to the many parents who assisted throughout the rehearsals and performances.

An important reminder to third, fourth and fifth grade parents. The second round of MCAS will take place from May 12th – May 23rd. Testing schedules have been prepared and are listed on our web site. Please make sure that your child attends school during the testing dates. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

Presently, the last day of the 2007-2008 school year will be June 20th. This will be a half day with dismissal at 12:00 p.m. No lunch will be served.

Here’s what’s in store for May:
