I have created a work board for classroom
behavior. Each student has a little pocket with 4 colored cards in it. Everyday
each student starts off with a clean slate, which is the blue card.
Throughout the day, if they do not
follow the rules and procedures they came up with, then they turn cards. Each card
is a warning to change their behavior.
Blue: You are having a great day and
making great choices!
Green: You had a warning for not following
the rules and or procedures.
Yellow: You have had at least one verbal
warning and also turned a card, now you need to write a letter home explaining why
you have a yellow.
Red: You have had at least three warnings
about your choices. You have lost a privilege and your parents will be contacted
about your choices.
I also redirect and reinforce the rules
and procedures as well as give one verbal warning before they turn a card.
When a student keeps a blue card they
get a square filled in on a chart. When they get 10 squares, they go into the treasure
box!

CAUGHT-YA CARDS
I also have “Caught-Ya” Cards. I use
these when I “catch” a student following directions, using manners, helping, and
being a role model.
On Friday’s I pick 5-8 names out of
the bin and they go into the treasure box.

MARBLE JAR- This is a class
reward system. They get marbles if they walk down the hall quietly, if they have
a quiet working time, if they follow directions in their special of the day. Etc.
When the jar is filled the get a class
prize like: ice cream, recess, game, treasure box, and or free time.
Any questions or concerns please let
me know.
