Barbara O’Connor
to visit Third and Fourth Grade
November 7 is a busy day at Centerville!
For the first time, Barbara O’Connor will spend the day presenting writing workshops

Barbara is the author of several novels for ages 9
and up. She has also written many biographies. Having grown up in the fifties in South
Carolina, Barbara includes her memories of southern living into her writing.
Barbara now lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts near Plymouth Rock.
Barbara’s advice to kids who want to be writers?

Oh - and one more thing: never be afraid to write something that isn't very good.
Because, so what? You can always make it better. Just get your thoughts and ideas
down first - then make it better later.
